or i-CAT for short.
The i-CAT's Cone Beam 3-D Dental Imaging System provides high-definition, digital imaging with less radiation to the patient and a typical scan time of only 20 seconds.
Cone Beam tomography or 3D X-rays is becoming a standard diagnostic tool for implant placement particularly in specific cases. For your convenience, our Old Saybrook has an ICAT unit for cone beam tomography in house. Cone beam tomography has the potential to limit complications, decrease surgical time, and increase implant precision and safety through the fabrication of computer guided stents.
