Matthew S. Cantner, D.M.D.
Dr.
Matt Cantner has spent his life growing up in our Connecticut shoreline community. His
undergraduate education was completed at Lafayette College in Easton, Pa where he received
a dual degree in biology and economics. He went on to receive his Doctorate of Dental Medicine
from the University of Pennsylvania and stayed at the Ivy League school for his 3 year
specialty training. He received the Directors Award for the top resident at the university
and the highest achievement award from the Northeast Society of Periodontists.
In 2004, Matt joined his father, Lee Cantner and Jim McAraw adding a new outlook to their well established practice. He has been extensively trained in all aspects of periodontal and dental implant therapy and enjoys treatment leading to specific aesthetic goals. Although his emergence into the field of dentistry is relatively recent, Matt has already been well honored by his colleagues.
Dr. Matthew Cantner also teaches at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, Division of Periodontology. He has been chosen as one of Connecticut's Top Dentists two years in a row. Dr. Cantner volunteers for the Mission of Mercy program which provides comprehensive dentistry to the underprivileged in Connecticut.
Dr. Matthew S. Cantner is a Diplomat and Board Certified by the American Academy of Periodontists.
